The primary purpose of the New Jersey Youth Symphony is to provide talented young musicians with orchestral and related music education experiences that enable them to reach their highest potential as performers and listeners.
The organization began as an orchestra of 65 high school students in 1979 and has grown into a family of three orchestras, three string orchestras, two flute choirs and a summer camp. NJYS is recognized by arts organizations, educators and performing artists as one of the finest programs for young people in the state.
The website features a calendar manager that NJYS can easily add, edit and delete events, with the ability to categorize by ensemble.
